Can someone explain to me the awesomeness of PUNK?

okay dont listen to the guy who said NOFX that shits not great, what you really want to hear about is what punk stands for, punk was anti-establishment (not what it is anymore) it wanted to create a difference within politics and what not. Bands like The Dead kennedys are a good example of a politically inspired band, also Crass, conflict etc (anarcho punk). MOST punk bands were anarchist, others were socialists and the list goes on But yeah you are right, punk has lost its meaning, now punk is whiny boys who write about not being able to get girlfriends or just girls in general.
