Where can I find obituaries from 1974 for free?

I'm looking for my Grandfathers obituary for my mom(since it was her dad and it's very important to her) and I wanna find it for her for her birthday (which is about 17 days away), the main problem is that I don't have any money to look that well(trust me if I did, I would) so I need to find it for free. If it helps any easier we live in New York, but in the country not the cities, we ain't city folk, well my older sis is, but anyway, is there anyway I might be able to find it for free for her?
